Privacy Policy

Your honesty is the product.
Protecting it is the deal.

The short version

VIDA works because you tell it the truth about your life. That only makes sense if what you share stays private. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't share your conversations with anyone except the service providers we need to run VIDA. You can ask us to delete everything at any time.

What we collect

  • Account information. Your email address and a password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text).
  • What you share in conversations. Your intake conversation, weekly check-ins, and the assessments and plans VIDA builds from them. This can include sensitive information about your health, relationships, work, finances, lifestyle, and sense of meaning — that's the point of the product, and we treat all of it as confidential.
  • Basic technical data. Standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) used for security and keeping the service running. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this site.

How we use it

  • To run VIDA: building your assessment, generating your plan, and tracking your weekly check-ins.
  • To send you service emails, such as confirming your account and weekly check-in reminders. You can turn reminders off in your settings.
  • To improve the product. If we ever study conversation data to make VIDA better, we work with it in de-identified form wherever possible.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Who processes your data for us

VIDA runs on a small number of service providers, each used only to operate the product:

  • Supabase — database and authentication (where your account and conversation data live).
  • Vercel — hosting for the application itself.
  • AI model providers(such as Anthropic) — your conversation content is sent to an AI model to generate VIDA's questions, assessments, and plans. We use these providers under terms that do not permit them to train their models on your data.
  • Resend — sending service emails like check-in reminders.

What VIDA is not

VIDA is not a medical device, a therapist, or a financial advisor, and your data here is not a medical or financial record. If you share something that suggests you're in crisis, VIDA may point you toward professional resources, but no human reviews your conversations as a matter of course.

Your choices and rights

  • Access and correction. You can review and correct your assessment inside the product — nothing moves forward on data you haven't confirmed.
  • Deletion. Email support@livevida.app from your account address and we will delete your account and associated conversation data.
  • Email preferences. Check-in reminders can be turned off in settings at any time.

Security and retention

Data is encrypted in transit, access to production systems is restricted, and we keep your data only as long as you have an account (or as required for security and legal reasons). No system is perfectly secure — if we ever learn of a breach affecting your data, we will tell you.

A note on the alpha

VIDA is in alpha. The product changes quickly, and this policy will evolve with it. If we make a material change to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and note the new date at the top — and for significant changes, we'll email you.
